Join us for opening weekend as we officially launch UP Social — Chapel Hill’s first and only Entertainment District — with a special live performance celebrating this exciting new chapter for University Place!

We’re thrilled to welcome local Raleigh-area musician Sam Trebing for the evening. When he’s not fronting his alt/indie rock band, Rivington The Band, Sam channels his talents into solo performances, delivering his own unique spin on pop, country, classic rock, and folk favorites.

Our lively gathering hub, The Commons, makes every spot perfect for enjoying incredible live performances. Whether you’re grabbing dinner first or leaving a movie, feel free to bring your drink from one of our participating restaurants over to enjoy the show. Come be part of history as we welcome UP Social to Chapel Hill! Guests are encouraged to bring chairs to have a place to sit while attending.
